Specific Descendant Recognitions
This endeavour is to recognise and record the specific descendants of Joseph Williams, such as his children, grandkids, great-grandchildren, etc., rather than just the close family and blood relatives that form the basis of a tree. Only facts that can be independently verified as having a direct bearing on this family tree will be included in the appropriate family trees.
It’s natural to feel bad about omitting someone from the Williams family tree but rest assured that those people already have their own genealogy charts and unique family tree documenting their ancestry.
The aim here is to pay respect to Joseph Williams’s actual ancestry without creating an impossibly complex family tree of unrelated branches.

NOTE: To honour loved ones who have passed on, please provide copies of any photographs, obituaries, or other relevant historical information you may have. This will allow me to begin building a profile for new entrants as soon as I collect and submit the necessary information.

Pah Joe’s Siblings: Although Pah Joe’s siblings and nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts are not the primary focus of our tree at this time, any information provided on them will be taken for archiving and possibly adding to our extended bloodline records.

Share the real narrative of our ancestors:
Keep in mind that the goal here is to reveal the truth about our ancestors. A made-up biography is pointless if any life story can be made exciting with enough imagination, fairness, a dash of humour, respect, and good taste, regardless of how mundane its details may be.
Anyone who has made it this far in life, often against great obstacles, deserves better, and we can and will provide it.
If you have any honest, unadulterated recollections of past members or events, please share them. Historical documentation of a member’s background is encouraged and accepted.
Historical Events - Fact & Fiction #2
Historical events (member biographies) versus the official family tree:
The entries in the official family tree should not be confused with a person’s personal history. For instance, if a family member played a significant role in the upbringing of another person’s child and the child was treated as a member of the family while not being related by blood or formally adopted into that person’s family, the child should not be included in the official family tree.
The member’s engagement with that child should be reflected in the narrative of their life, as it reveals much about the member’s character and the ways in which their life and the lives of others were impacted.
Although these significant details of a family member’s life should be shared and encouraged, they should not be utilised in place of the official family tree records. When filling out the Family Links Recorder Form, please keep this in mind.
Half siblings
The tree does not include a person’s half-siblings who have different biological parents.
For instance, if you are included in this tree because of your mother’s connection to Pah Joe, you need not include details on your father’s family tree, as this tree does not include his outside offspring.
In this case, only information on your father’s background is required.
Adoptions
The family tree will include the results of all officially recognised adoptions. Adopted children and their families will be added to the tree once the adoptive parents’ details have been verified.
NOTE: When sharing information about adopted family members, please make it clear that they are not biologically related to any of the people in our family tree. Mark this individual as Adopted, for instance. Which further establishes that they are not biologically related.
Stepchild / Stepchildren
All those who are acknowledged as stepchildren by the prospective step-parent but have not yet been formally adopted into the family can still be included.
PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO MENTION THAT THESE CHILDREN ARE YOUR STEPCHILDREN WHEN SUBMITTING INFORMATION ABOUT THEM. Call this individual a Stepchild, for instance, further establishes that you are not biologically related.
