A TIME TO BE BORN

Mother Alice Delancy was born on the 12th of April 1957, in Five Cays, Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, to the late Charles Williams and Olive Cox. Her early years were spent living throughout the islands of the Bahamas, including Abaco, Nassau, and Freeport, experiences that helped shape her resilience and character from a young age.

A TIME FOR FAMILY

Following her return home with her Mother, Alice faced a profound turning point when her beloved Mother later passed away. In the wake of this loss, she remained in the Turks and Caicos Islands and assumed the immense responsibility of caring for her siblings. With unwavering love and determination, she stepped into a motherly role, honouring her Mother’s wish to keep the family united. She raised her siblings as her own, exemplifying sacrifice, strength, and deep devotion to family.

On the 1st of December 1976, she was united in holy matrimony to Pastor Daniel H. Delancy. Their union was blessed with seven children, one of whom, Carolann, preceded her in death. Mother Delancy was deeply committed to her family, instilling values of faith, unity, and self-sufficiency in her children.

She also extended her love beyond her immediate household. She established a weekly family prayer breakfast, rotating among her sisters’ homes, which strengthened family bonds for many years. Her annual December dinners became a cherished tradition, feeding hundreds of relatives and friends during the Christmas season. She took great joy in bringing people together through food, fellowship, and love.

A TIME FOR MINISTRY

Mother Alice Delancy gave her life to the Lord during a revival hosted by Mother Ival Evans in the Turks and Caicos Islands. From that moment, she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to the work of God.

She was an active and faithful member of the Pentecostal Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Albert Delancy, where she served diligently in all areas of ministry, including assisting with the building of the church and participating in street meetings alongside her husband.

In 1982, she and her husband founded Miracle Revival Mission, beginning humbly on an outdoor platform before the construction of the present sanctuary. At Miracle Revival Mission, she served as the Mother of the Church, an evangelist, Sunday school teacher, and a devoted prayer warrior.

Mother Delancy was a dynamic and powerful preacher through whom many souls were saved and lives transformed. Her ministry was marked by unwavering commitment—she rarely missed a service and remained steadfast even while travelling, always seeking a place of worship.

She led countless all-night prayer meetings and wilderness prayer sessions, interceding not only for her congregation but also for families in need. For many years, she faithfully held midday prayer sessions, often alone in communion with God, yet always ready to invite others when the need arose.

She was ordained as a Prayer Ambassador for the Turks and Caicos Islands by Bishop Shane Paisley, a role she carried with great seriousness and devotion. God used her mightily through visions and spiritual insight, which she faithfully recorded and shared to guide and uplift others. Notably, prior to the pandemic, she received a divine message calling pastors to unite in repentance and prayer in preparation for what was to come—demonstrating her boldness and obedience to God.

A TIME FOR SERVICE AND FELLOWSHIP

Mother Delancy’s life was one of selfless service. She was known for her generosity and hospitality, ensuring that no one went without. Within the church, she made it a priority to provide meals and refreshments after special occasions, always preparing more than enough in anticipation of visitors.

She had a passion for farming and maintained a farm in the Goose/North West Point area, where she cultivated produce not for profit, but to give freely to those in need. She also enjoyed fishing and conch diving, often teaching her children and others these valuable skills.

A gifted cook, she was renowned for preparing large meals with excellence, a talent she used to bless both her family and community. She taught her children essential life skills, ensuring they were equipped to thrive. She also organised beach picnics and gatherings, creating lasting memories and strengthening family unity.

A TIME TO REFLECT

If one were to describe Mother Alice Delancy, she would be remembered as a virtuous woman, full of wisdom, compassion, and unwavering faith. She was a devoted prayer warrior, a loving mother, a faithful servant of God, and a pillar of strength within her family and community. She was loved by all and, in turn, loved all without measure.

Her life stands as a testament to faith, service, and unconditional love.

A TIME TO REST IN THE LORD

On the 16th of March, 2026, Mother Alice Delancy peacefully transitioned from this life to be with the Lord. Her passing marks the close of a life richly lived in faith, service, and love. Though she is no longer with us in body, her legacy of prayer, devotion, and unwavering commitment to God will continue to inspire all who knew her.
